General questions
- Where is Base Camp Located?
Formerly Vee Hollow Campground, our address 8429 TN-73 Townsend, TN 37882. About 1 mile from LAOR. view a map of townsend here!
- Are golf carts available to rent at Base Camp?
At this time, golf carts are not available to rent at Base Camp.
- Can I bring my own golf cart to Base Camp?
Yes, you may bring your own golf cart to Base Camp. A $25.00 personal golf cart fee will apply, and a waiver must be signed upon arrival. Golf carts are permitted on Base Camp property only and are not allowed on the main roads of Townsend or on the bike trails. Drivers must be 21 years of age or older.
- Will you be selling ice & firewood at Base Camp?
Yes, we will continue to sell ice and firewood in the camp store at Base Camp.
- Is there a pool and hot tub? Will the pool be heated?
Yes! We’ll have a pool and hot tub! The pool will be heated from opening through November and will be winterized and closed November–February.
- Does Base Camp have cabins or tiny homes?
Base Camp does not offer cabins or tiny homes. It is designed as an RV park for campers, RVs, and tent camping only. view all of our camping accomodations here!
- Is Base Camp pet friendly?
Yes! Base Camp is pet-friendly, and dogs are welcome on the property. We allow up to 2 dogs per site. If you’re bringing a pet, please be sure to sign the pet waiver included in your confirmation email prior to arrival.
- Do you have a minimum night stay?
Yes, Base Camp has a 2-night minimum stay requirement. During holidays, a 3-night minimum stay applies.
- Can I check in or out on a Saturday?
No, unfortunately we do not allow arrivals or departures on Saturdays. We operate with limited staff on Saturdays and work to minimize vehicle traffic throughout the campground to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for guests, especially children playing and families walking around the property.
- Will there be a coffee shop?
There will not be a separate coffee shop on property. We will have free coffee available daily in the camp store.
Little arrow outdoor and base camp
- Can I use LAOR amenities if I’m staying at Base Camp?
Amenities at Little Arrow Outdoor Resort are reserved exclusively for registered resort guests. This includes access to the pool, playground, on-site events, and coffee lounge. We appreciate your understanding!
- Can I move my reservation at LAOR to Base Camp?
Little Arrow Outdoor Resort and Base Camp are two separate properties, and reservations cannot be transferred between them. To stay at Base Camp, you would need to cancel your Little Arrow Outdoor Resort reservation. Please note that cancellation fees do apply in all cases. You would then need to make a new reservation directly with Base Camp.
- If I cancel at LAOR and get a gift card, can I use it at Base Camp?
Since Little Arrow Outdoor Resort and Base Camp operate on separate systems, gift cards from Little Arrow cannot be used at Base Camp.

Rv Sites
- Will the RV sites & Luxury RV sites be paved or gravel?
All RV sites at Little Arrow Outdoor Resort will be gravel. Each site includes full hook-ups with 30/50 amp service. This applies to on-river, off-river, and luxury buddy sites.
- Are there trees at Base Camp?
Yes! There are trees on property for summer shade, along with beautiful landscaping throughout Base Camp.
- Do you not allow a certain type of vehicle for camping?
We welcome all types of campers and trailers at Base Camp. Please note that overnight stays in cars and car camping are not permitted.
- Will the on river sites have patios and picnic tables?
Yes, our on river sites will have the patio deck. All sites will have a picnic table and a firepit.
